The General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Samuel Abiara, has warned against any attempt to topple the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying God will resist such a move.
Abiara said rather than plot against the President, the country should look up to God for divine solutions to the country’s woes.
Speaking in an interview with our correspondent on Saturday, the cleric said there was a need for national prayers for the country’s leaders.
He added that prayers for the nation and its leaders are the focus of a nationwide crusade organised by his church.
The programme has been scheduled to hold between May 22 and 26, 2017.

He said, “God said that our leaders are sick spiritually and physically. God said we should organise prayers nationally so that the leaders do not misbehave. Our leaders should stop involving in acts that displease God because He is the one that enthroned them in positions of authority.
“They must not abuse the privileges of their offices and they should initiate policies that would lead to better welfare for Nigerians.”
