Women Turn Pray Warriors For Ailing Ekiti Deputy Gov

Ekiti State women converged on Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday and prayed for the ailing Deputy Governor of the state, Mrs. Funmilayo Olayinka.
Wife of the Governor, Bisi Fayemi, convened the session, a statement by her media aide, Akin Oyedele, said.
Other female government officials and appointees, as well as wives of top government functionaries attended the prayer session.
Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ekiti, Most Rev. Felix Ajakaye, led other clerics to intercede on behalf of the deputy governor and the state.
Ajakaye, in his homily, urged the people to stop peddling rumours about the health status of the deputy governor, but to pray to God to restore her health soon.
He urged them not to despair, warning that negative utterances were capable of worsening the health condition of any sick person.
He said the deputy governor was indisposed and only required proper medical attention, as she was currently receiving.
