Cleric tasks populace on offering, tithes
The founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Wonderful Palace of God, Ikotun, Lagos, Pastor Chris Daramola, has urged Nigerians especially those in leadership positions to learn to offer sacrifices to God in form of giving.
Speaking at the 7th annual harvest and thanksgiving service held at the church last Sunday, on the theme: ‘Food of God’, the founder said the only food that God eats is the thanksgiving people offer to Him with their substances.
According to him, the theme came as an inspiration from God to give unto Him the honour due for Him and that is why he has urged every member of the church who desires one thing or the other from God to learn to give sacrifice.
“The traditional believers know the importance of sacrifice that is why anytime they are being confronted with difficult situation, they resort to sacrifice. The same thing should go for Christians who do not have to offer sacrifice in form of killing animals but by honouring God with their substances, this will challenge God and move Him to action,” he said.
Daramola also said sacrifice brings promotion, citing the case of Abraham, Solomon among others, who offered sacrifices to God. The cleric regretted that Nigerian leaders are not offering sacrifice to God anymore but out of their selfish desires to retain power and positions, they have turned their hears away from God and are now sacrificing to Satan.
According to him, “that is why there is a lot of ritualists today because of greed for money, power and position; our leaders have turned their hears away from God and have decided to sacrifice to devil, who in turn demands for items like parts of human beings, animals and other items. The real sacrifice that is acceptable to God is the one that people bring with hearts of gratitude and a holy heart,” he said.
He spoke further that the miracles that prayer and fasting will not achieve, sacrificial offering will go a long way in achieving them, stressing that, sacrifice opens door of mercy for an individual as he added that God commanded it in the book of Psalms 50 verse five and Proverbs three verse nine.
“Why our country is faced with myriads of problems is because our leaders are seeking individual favour and not the favour of God. For instance, which country is Nigeria paying its tithes to, we make so much money from our crude oil yet we don’t pay our tithes to any country like America is paying its own to Israel, and that is why the country is controlling the world today,” he said.
On the vision of the church, the cleric explained that is going to be a church of revival after the order of the late Timothy Obadare, saying the harvest will launch him to a radio presentation that will be exactly like the one the late C.A.C Evangelist was having then.
