Pastor Adeboye |
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG),Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye
has urged his congregation to ensure they go for their voters’ card
registration in order for them to be able to vote in the forth-coming general
elections.
Adeboye, who
made this charge during his sermon at the last Friday’s vigil at the
just-concluded Holy Congress, tagged ‘’The Great Shepherd’’ ,at the Redemption Camp,
located along Lagos-Ibadan Express way, said he had once urged members to do
their voters’ registration and ensure they bring their cards to church during
the first Sunday service in December.
The popular
cleric, who said ‘’your card is your power to decide who you want to rule
you’’, urged members t make sure they get registered, adding that:’’ If it will
take a whole day to get yours done, do it!’’
Adeboye, said
he was having two voters’ cards with him: his own and that of his wife, informed
that ‘’ I believe my children have all got theirs too’’.
The humble
preacher told his listening teeming members that they must bring their voters’
card to church on the first Sunday of January, 2015 before the New Year
blessings could be pronounced on them.
Similarly,
the RCCG helmsman has urged members to make donations in order to
help in assisting fellow Christians, who had been displaced by the on-going
terrorist activities in the North
His words:’’ Many are
wounded in the crisis in the North. We have done a little on our own to
send relief to them. Now, we are creating a platform to help. Thousands of
people are displaced: some need food; some need clothes and so on. If you will
love to contribute something to make life a bit comfortable for them, please do
so now or before the end of the year. Such a person must indicate that it is
for the relief. We are going to gather everything and pass it to the Christian
Association of Nigeria (CAN) .And CAN will pass it to them. If you are going to
do something about it say Amen!’’
