Insecurity: Cleric declares 21-day fasting, prayers for Nigeria

Chairman, South-South zone of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev. God-dowell Avwomakpa, has called for the commencement of 21 days of national fasting and prayers to save Nigeria from imminent danger and disintegration.
Avwomakpa said each fasting day would be rounded-off with prayers to intercede for peace, love, harmony and blessing for Nigeria.
Avwomakpa, who titled the programme “Let God Intervene”, assured that God would not abandon Nigeria because He loved the country immensely and would not allow it to be destroyed by Satan and its agents.
The cleric disclosed that God would soon dismantle forces of darkness working against the peace, unity and development of Nigeria, adding that this year’s theme, “Kingdom Principles”, would be a point of contact for God to do His marvelous work on Nigeria.
Avwomakpa stated that Christians were God’s ambassadors and should stand firm and be bold to declare the truth and righteousness while propagating the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
