We're always looking for tips to achieve goals, aren't we?
But how many times have you tried to set them, only to find that
you simply aren't motivated enough to carry them through?
Goals are rendered meaningless if you don't take action!
So here are tips to spur you on to achieving your goals!
1. When setting a goal, be sure to write down all the details. What do
you want to achieve, when do you want to achieve it by, and how will you know
when you have a successful outcome?
2. Now, imagine yourself having already achieved your goal. What
can you see, what do you hear, and how do you feel? Write down the details
and imagine what accomplishing them will feel like.

3. Make sure you have confidence in yourself and in your abilities. In other
words, know that you can achieve what you set out to do. Believing in yourself
is essential to your success in anything you do. To help do this, list all the
achievements that you have had in the past couple of years. You'll notice that
you actually completed some really worthwhile objectives, and there is no
reason why this shouldn't continue!
4. Use affirmations to convince yourself that you will achieve
your goals. Use sentences that begin with "I will" and repeat them
regularly. Put notes everywhere if you think you'll need constant reminding.
5. Think positively, and don't worry about setbacks in your plans. If you
find yourself slipping into negativity, visualize yourself writing that
negative thought on a piece of paper. Then scrunch up the paper into a ball and
slam-dunk it into the trash!
6. Stay focused on your goal. Don't give up after the
first setback! Setbacks happen. You know that you will achieve it, even if
there are roadblocks along the way.

7. When you do reach your goal, congratulate yourself on this
fantastic achievement. The hard work has really paid off! Then keep
making goals and striving for them with a positive attitude.
