Christ Apostolic Church (CAC),
Ilu-Iyanu district headquarters, Oke-Ira, Ogba, Lagos State, was set
agog when the children department showcased their God-given talents as
part of the activities marking this year’s children anniversary and
thanksgiving service, last Sunday.
With the theme: “…of such is the kingdom of God”, Mark 10 vs 3b, the children demonstrated performances that were both spiritual and educating. The event featured song ministration by the children and preparatory choir, recitation of memory verses, choreography, acrobatic display, musical drama presentation and cutting of anniversary cake.
In his sermon, the invited guest, Ordinand Toluwani Adefusi, charged children to always remain good examples, adding that, “children should not be overwhelmed and always fear God in all their endeavours. Parents should lay good examples for their wards to follow as well as not overreact or intimidate their children at any level but teach them the way of the lord.”
In his words, the children’s patron, Elder Gabriel Ajani, commended the children, stating that, “I am glad and also impressed with the passion of the children, especially on the success of the event. We advise them not to relent in their enthusiasm and parents should give their wards the upmost support to actualise their dreams, especially in the vineyard.”
