Gov. Peter Obi of Anambra State has said that his administration’s decision to collaborate with the church in the areas of education and health was to bring health services closer to the people.
Obi spoke while presenting cheques to the Catholic and Anglican Bishop in Anambra State for ongoing projects being executed by the state government in partnership with the churches.
He explained that with the churches, government got value for its money, adding that most of the projects completed by the churches at a given amount of money would have been under various variations if they were executed through the normal contractual channels.
