Ogboni Cult Fights Over Late Prophet’s Body

Fresh indications emerged recently that an Ogboni cult group fought over the body of a popular miracle, pastor who died recently in Lagos.
Pastor Elijah Ireti Ajanaku, the founder of Christ Victory Chapel International, Ayobo, Lagos died Sunday August 18, 2013.
Before his eventual death, he was reportedly died, only to resurrect a few hours later. His remains were brought into his house in Lagos from his hometown of Gbongan, Osun State.
There was a raging belief that the popular late pastor was a member of Oro Worshippers, as the residents of Ikola Odusi , where Pastor Ajanaku lived before his death were surprised early Tuesday morning when Oro Masquerades went to town perform funeral rites for the departed pastor.
It was reported that the Oro Worshippers were heard chanting the name of the pastor throughout the night. The worshippers, according to a reliable source, marched through the streets of Ikola Odunsi, Ikola Gbangan and terminated at the deceased pastor’s street, Folarin Williams Close. They were chanting “Ajanaku lo o di gbere” which literally means “Ajanaku is gone, adieu !”.
It was also learned that shortly after his demise,  the Ogboni Cult members, numbering about 27 visited his place and ordered the people to vacate the house. They left after spending sometimes with his body.
The late pastor’s church members were warned by the Ogboni members not to progress with his funeral ceremony without consulting them. This gave them the impression that late pastor could have been a member of the fraternity.
Prophet Ajanaku is said to be a specially unique man of God, as his identity and everything about him was shrouded in total secrecy and mysteries.
Some of the mysteries that surrounded Prophet Ajanaku’s life was that nobody could trace the story of how he started up in life before becoming a popular pastor.
It could not also be understood how he suddenly started speaking English, without being educated .On his miraculous ability to speaking English, despite the fact that he did not go to school, Ajanaku had this to say: “Satan knew God’s purpose for me in the world, so he blocked my father’s heart and made him not to send me to school. But God who owns my life pretended as if He did not notice Satan’s action. After God took my glory from Satan, I started speaking English as if I am a University Graduate. It is mysterious, unbelievable and incredible. I never went to Bible School but my knowledge of the Bible is amazing”, Ajanaku told City People Magazine in an interview.
Another mystery about Late Ajanaku was that he never ate in the presence of people. This made many to believe that he did not eat. Ajanaku also had this to say about that: “Many say I am a mysterious being who does not eat. But the truth is that I eat to sustain the body. Angels don’t have intestines to eat like humans but the moment they come into this world, they must have intestines to eat like human beings. I eat but I have not eaten in the presence of any man. Since 17 years that I started my ministry, it has been so. People have called me names, some say I died somewhere and reincarnated in Lagos. I am not Jesus Christ. I wonder what they will say when I started the assignment God gave me,” he concluded.
Late Ajanaku , who was so powerful and highly revered by his followers was a car freak with many exotic and expensive cars parked in his Lagos home.
The powerful pastor who never learned English but could speak it like a University graduate, left behind an unaccomplished assignment, which is Ido-Ani for Christ. The programme was scheduled for September 30 to October 1, 2013 in Ondo State, His burial arrangement, according to family sources comes up in November this.
